Vintage. Some of my favorite things! Phoenix Wedding Photographer

Posted on July 30, 2010

I love the look of vintage.  I tend to blend the old with the new when it comes to my own homes decor and wanted to share some really cool finds that I shot on my vacation in California.  These were all taken at a new really fun and funky place called The Urban Barn in Escondido California. http://urbanbarn155.blogspot.com/  The ladies there are amazing at finding the most unique, vintage pieces.  If you love vintage like I do, you will want to go home with a car load!!  I came home with the very cool luggage pieces I used in my up coming beach engagement session that I will be posting soon.  I wanted more but didn’t have room in the car to get everything home!  I will go back though!  :  )

ROAD TRIP PART TWO-Terry McKaig Photography

Posted on April 10, 2009

I have a love for old trucks!  To have one of my own some day soon, is a dream of mine.  I’m thinking a rusty, oxidized blue/ green Chevy truck from the late 1940′ early 1950’s would be awesome!   On our road trip we came across quite a few old trucks that were just waiting to have their photos taken…….and of coarse, we obliged!  This is the rusty red/orange beauty that we spied……..oh, and the old gas pumps are another piece of nostalgia that I think are way cool!

ROAD TRIP– OLD HIGHWAY 66!! Terry McKaig Photography

Posted on April 9, 2009

We got away this past weekend and just kind of went where the road took us!  It was a great time for the two of us to have some time together.  We even found ourselves at the Grand Canyon!  It was cold up there so we stayed not longer than 20 minutes. Whimpy, I know!!  Anyway, I will be showing a series of photos each day or so from our different locations…..here are a few of the first ones, who would of thought you could have so much fun in the middle of no where!

OH, THE BEAUTY!!!!

I’m so thankful I get go to Vermont and more thankful I get to take photos when I go!!!  When I get home I look and look at the photos I was able to capture and I can imagine myself being there all over again.  Going to Vermont for me is very therapeutic and when I look at the photos, all of the same emotions and feelings I had while I was there come flooding back to me.  The smell of the leaves, the crisp cool air on my face, the smell and tastes of the home cooked food that we get in the little country stores, setting and eating the food out on the front porch, the screen door slamming and the bell ringing each time a customer goes in and out the door, the small town feeling of days gone by and the fall leaves gently floating down from the trees when a soft breeze comes up as you are walking down a winding dirt road.  It is all so amazing and good for my soul!!  Oh…….and all of the awesome old barns, windows and doors to be found is a photographers dream! (one of mine anyway!)  Here are some of what I captured while I was there.  Sigh!!
